Welcome to XPU2.0.21-9. This document provides important information about the XPU2.0.21-9 release.

XPU2.0.21-9 introduces enhanced features and functionality for multiple NVIDIA GPUs support. Also, XPU 2.0.21-9 supports GPU compute and memory virtualization independently.
XPU now supports up to a maximum of 8GPUs per host. Increased GPUs helps in a more efficient management of containers and provides greater scalability when using big AI models.
When creating containers, users can specify independent Compute and Memory shares for vGPU via the YOYO_XPU_SHARES environment variables.

In addition to the CUDA applications, the current version supports OpenGL/OpenEGL rendering applications.

XPU 2.0.21-9 supports all Intel/AMD x86_64 computers with the following NVIDIA GPUs:
- NVIDIA Kepler, Maxwell, Pascal, Volta, Turing, Ampere GPUs
- NVIDIA driver version 440.x.y or later (NVIDIA GRID drivers are supported as well)
XPU2.0.21-9only support Linux. The following Linux distributionsare fully supported:
- RHEL 7.x (7.9 recommended), RHEL 8.x (8.4 recommended)
- CentOS 7.x (7.9 recommended), CentOS 8.x (8.4 recommended)
- Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Server Version, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Server Version
The following section details advisories and minor issues with this release and any workarounds that you can apply.
- Usually homogeneous GPUs are provisioned on one computer, although XPU supports GPUS with different architecture deployed on one machine.
- Usually we strongly recommend you choose the listed OS, but if you really want to deploy XPU on other Linux distributions, please email business@yoyoworks.com for help.
